Happy World Book Day!

I’m never sure if any one else does this but here in the UK it’s World Book Day.

I flipping love books. Ever since my Mum let me buy very first book when I was six, I’ve been hopelessly addicted to reading. For me, as long as I have a book to read I’m okay and the same goes for my other half. We have so many books now that our six foot high bookcase is now three layers deep! And it’s not just fiction either. There’s instruction books, history books, craft books and even a dictionary or three. If it wasn’t so socially acceptable I’d swear we had a ‘problem’. In fact, if either of us runs out of reading material we become extremely grumpy, so deeply ingrained is our reading habit. We get the readers version of hangry. And nothing is safe, I’ve even read the back of a shampoo bottle in my desperation for something to read, but then I’ve always been a bit bonkers, I guess you already know that by now!

Anyway, even if you’re not taking part in World Book Day, I’d still like to wish you a good one. I hope your day is filled with literature and stories not matter what you do.
